Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics' principal compound manufacturing subsidiary, Kashima Polymers Corporation (KPC), has completed the expansion of production capacity at its PC extrusion facility. As a result, the facility's annual production capacity has increased to 70,000 tons, with total compound capacity rising to 25,000 tons and natural color and ice color compound capacities to 10,000 tons each. KPC also established an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons at the facility for new optical grades, which it expects to begin supplying in the near future.
